Why appliances are different

Electrical and electronic equipment cannot legally go in a general waste load. Fridges and freezers contain refrigerant gases that must be extracted at a licensed facility before the unit is broken up. Anyone offering to take your fridge for a tenner in the back of a van is either absorbing that cost or fly-tipping it.

Prices include carrying the appliance out, transport and licensed WEEE disposal. All prices include VAT. Where an appliance is upstairs, in a basement, or needs two people to shift it safely, a second crew member is an extra €25 — agreed with you when we quote, not sprung on you on the day.

We will disconnect a free-standing appliance. Anything plumbed or hard-wired needs an electrician or plumber first - ask us and we will tell you which.

Licensed, insured and accountable. We hold Waste Collection Permit NWCPO-16-11754-04 and €6.5m public liability insurance. Every load is weighed and disposed of through licensed facilities, and we can supply a waste transfer docket for your records — which matters if you are an executor, a solicitor or a letting agent.
